Calvary Chapel Sonora was founded in 1992 as a Home Bible Study. Since our inception, we have sought to teach, equip, and encourage the spiritual growth of the believers at Calvary Chapel Sonora so we can reach our community and the world with Christ's love. We hope you experience fellowship and love as you visit.

Meet the pastor

Pastor Jason Cameron and his wife Molly, along with their four children, relocated to Sonora in July 2021 with a heart to serve and lead others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is a graduate of the School of Ministry at Calvary Chapel Downey. For more than eleven years, Jason has served in various capacities, from children’s ministry to young adults. Before stepping into his current role as Senior Pastor, he served as the Junior High and High School Youth Pastor and later as Associate Pastor.

What To Expect

A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

Where do the kids go?

Nursing Moms

A private Nursing Mother's room is on the right side of the Sanctuary.

Infants - 3rd Grade

Infants through Preschool age meet in the downstairs classrooms at 10:00 am. Kindergarten through 3rd grade meet in upstairs classroom for Kids' Worship at 10:00 am. Children in these classes must be signed in and out of class by parent.

4th Grade - High School

Children 4th grade through 8th grade attend Worship with their families and are dismissed to their classes. Teachers dismiss children at the end of the service. High School age students remain in the Sanctuary.

Made in His Image (MIHI)

MIHI is a Bible Study for adults with disabilities. The group meets upstairs every Sunday at 10:00 am.

Giving

Tithe boxes are in the foyer for cash and checks, or you can give via the giving link on our app and our website.

Prayer

Sunday Intercessory Prayer meets at 9:00 am in the 5th grade classroom (upstairs).

Men's Prayer begins at 5:00 pm in the Fireside Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Muellers Market

Muellers Market is our free food pantry. Help yourself if you are in need or leave a donation. All proceeds benefit our missionaries.
